Hiring a night nurse or night nanny in Miami

Overnight care is planned around your baby's needs and your family's agreed schedule. A night nurse or newborn care specialist can handle feeds, burping, diaper changes and settling, and keep a record of feeding and sleep for the morning handover. Discuss the start and finish times with the agency rather than assuming every overnight placement follows the same hours.

If you breastfeed, agree how the caregiver will bring your baby to you for feeds and help with burping, changing and settling afterward. If you use expressed milk or formula, share your feeding instructions before the first night. Overnight support does not replace your pediatrician's advice or guarantee that a newborn will sleep through the night.

Rates: night nurses and newborn care specialists in Miami typically earn $30–$50 per hour. Twins, multiples, 24-hour coverage and specialized experience sit at the upper end. Registered nurses (RN) are available upon request for families who want clinical background.

Every candidate has verified references, a nationwide criminal and county background check, and current infant CPR and First Aid. Many are bilingual in English and Spanish.

Tell us your due date or baby's age, preferred nights, expected length of placement, number of babies and whether you need an RN. Families preparing for a birth, returning home after delivery or relocating to Miami Beach can discuss a care plan before choosing a candidate. Availability is confirmed individually; calling does not guarantee an immediate placement.

Placement packages: $1,500 plus taxes (90-day replacement warranty), $2,500 plus taxes (6-month warranty, most popular) or $3,500 plus taxes (12-month warranty). A $500 non-refundable retainer plus applicable taxes starts the search and is credited toward the package total. All agency fees are final and non-refundable.

Call (305) 942-9642 any time — day or night — to plan your newborn coverage.

Planning overnight newborn care in your Miami home

Before the first shift, discuss where your baby will sleep, feeding instructions, supplies, emergency contacts and how you want to be contacted during the night. Agree which tasks belong to the role and what information you want in the morning handover. Follow your pediatrician's guidance and safe-sleep recommendations; overnight childcare is not a substitute for medical monitoring.

For twins or multiples, describe each baby's routine and any specific care needs. If your baby is coming home after a NICU stay, share the discharge team's instructions and ask which qualifications are appropriate. RN availability is upon request, and any nursing responsibilities must be agreed with a suitably qualified professional.

Night nanny Miami: choosing the right overnight support

Choose by experience and responsibilities, not by a search label alone. A family with an older infant may want an experienced night nanny, while parents preparing for a newborn may prefer a newborn care specialist. Ask about newborn experience, references, infant CPR and First Aid, and how the candidate handles feeding records and communication with parents.

MIA is a boutique, referral-based placement agency. Call (305) 942-9642 to discuss overnight care, then complete the new family application so the agency can review your requirements. Agency-coordinated Zoom interviews help you assess the match. Your $500 non-refundable retainer plus applicable taxes is credited toward your selected placement package. Paid trials are authorized only after the remaining balance is paid in full.
