Newborn care in Miami
A baby nurse supports your family from the day you bring your newborn home. Our baby nurses handle feedings, diapering, bathing, umbilical cord care, sleep routines and nursery organization, while giving parents practical guidance and the rest they need to recover. Many families in Miami Beach, Coral Gables, Pinecrest and Coconut Grove book a baby nurse for the first 6 to 12 weeks.
We place both experienced non-medical newborn care specialists and registered nurses (RN baby nurses) for families who want clinical background. Every candidate's experience, references, infant CPR certification and nationwide background check, including county records, is verified before you see a profile.
Baby nurses can work overnight (typically 8–10 hours), 24-hour shifts, or live-in schedules five to seven days a week. Twins and premature babies call for specialists with specific experience, which we screen for. When the newborn phase ends, we can transition your family to a long-term baby nanny so care stays consistent.
Pay for baby nurses in Miami varies with certification, schedule and number of babies; night nurses and newborn care specialists typically earn $30–$50 per hour, and registered nurses (RN) are available upon request. We'll help you understand current daily and nightly rates for the type of care you need.
Families choose one of three placement packages: Basic / Advise at $1,500 plus taxes with a 90-day replacement warranty, the Standard Package at $2,500 plus taxes with a 6-month replacement warranty (our most popular), or the Premium Package at $3,500 plus taxes with a 12-month replacement warranty. A $500 non-refundable retainer plus applicable taxes activates the search and is credited toward the selected package total. The remaining balance is due before contact details are shared, before any in-person meeting or trial, and before the first working day. We accept Zelle, Venmo and bank transfer. All agency fees are final and non-refundable; replacement support is provided instead of refunds.

Baby nurse, newborn care specialist or night nanny — which do you need?
Families often use these titles interchangeably, but there are real differences. A newborn care specialist focuses entirely on the baby during the first weeks: feeding, sleep, umbilical cord care, swaddling and routines. Some baby nurses are also registered nurses (RNs) or LPNs, which helps when a baby was premature or has medical needs. A night nanny covers overnight hours only. We explain these options during your first call and match the role to your situation, not the other way around.
Baby nurses in Miami work either 24-hour live-in shifts, often five or six days a week, or overnight-only schedules. A live-in baby nurse lets parents of twins or families recovering from a C-section rest fully during the first weeks. Overnight-only care works well when one parent is home during the day.
Preparing your home for a baby nurse
Before your baby nurse starts, set up a quiet place for her to rest during the day if she is live-in, a stocked changing station, bottles and a sterilizer, and a list of your pediatrician's contacts. Share your feeding plan, whether exclusive breastfeeding, pumping or formula, so she can support it from night one. Many of our families in Coral Gables, Key Biscayne and Miami Beach also agree in advance on visitors, photos and privacy, and every candidate we place respects those requests.
Most baby nurse placements last eight to twelve weeks. When the newborn phase ends, many families move to a full-time baby nanny. If you expect that transition, ask about our Standard Package with a 6-month replacement warranty so both placements are covered in a single plan.
Hospital stays in Miami are short, so the first night home often arrives sooner than expected. Calling us during pregnancy, ideally around 20 to 28 weeks, gives you the widest choice of experienced baby nurses for your due date.
